The Acting Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife Prof. Anthony Elujoba made a surprise visit to the Deeper life campus fellowship (DLCF) in company of his wife and with his entourage yesterday Sunday 7th August, 2016 and said "my appointment is divine" as he addressed the congregation of which the majority were freshers. He also encouraged the congregation that OAU can be made great again if only we can act on two words, "faith" and "truth" and he also enjoined the congregation to pray for peace in OAU.

The acting vc has been active in his office after his inauguration as acting VC. Within his few days in office, renovations have started in halls of residence (particularly Awo Hall) The service was ended with a session of prayer for the university community and singing of the second stanza of the Nigeria national anthem.
