Obafemi Awolowo University students on campus were full of suprise when rumours started going viral that the price of bread on campus has inflated. It was later confirmed fom the bread sellers by CampusVilla correspondence that #60 bread has been increased to #70 and #80 while #80 bread has been increased to #90 and #100 has been increased, a bread seller made us know that it was caused by the manufacturers of bread.
Students were not pleased about this recent development because of the economic recession in nigeria. "I think I will have to substitute garri for bread because I cannot afford to buy bread at that price" said a part 2 student of the Faculty of Agriculture.
