NEWS FLASH:HEAD OF GOVERNING COUNCIL OAU, OAU AVC, OAU PRO AND OTHERS VISIT AWO HALL OF RESIDENCE​

    The new Head of OAU Governing Council, Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anthony Elujoba, OAU spokesman, Mr Olarenwaju visits the Great Awolowo Hall of Residence this afternoon.

        It was a joyous moment when the head of Governing Council,Acting Vice Chancellor, OAU PRO amongst Others went to Awo Hall of residence to seek the opinion of students on the demand for a better welfare.

      The visit was announced by the PRO of the school and urged  students to keep calm as the Head of the Governing Council would be addressing students.

      Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi,in a bid to ensure good welfare for the students sought to hear from the students,which will in turn be followed by his verdict.Two students were given the opportunity to speak on behalf of other students as they asked for improvement in the toilet and more hostels to be built "The toilet  are very bad,rooms are in a bad state,we want more hostels,because the rooms are not enough for the capacity of the students" he said

       Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi promised to fulfil the students' demand but on the condition of paying more, 
" We shall build more hostel,we shall provide more water we shall provide more electricity: but if we  ask you to pay  a little more can you?"

       Students later agreed that if they see the development,they will pay more "Based on this condition  the Governing Council should first  do the needful before they charge, if they do all these things,you can then charge us" said a concern student.
