Nigerian bags PHD in South Africa; says t the problem of power can be solved in Africa

A Nigerian,Opeyemi S. Odutemowo  bagged a PhD in Nuclear Physics, in the University of Pretoria South Africa. She said that the problem of power in Africa can be solved within fiveyears
The Nigerian,Opeyemi  who is yet to be 30,recently bagged a PhD in Physics from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

Opeyemi Odutemowo at the greatest moment.

For her love for Physics she started off with a BSc in Applied physics (Geophysics) at the University of Lagos. But she was clearly just getting warmed up. She set off to the University of Pretoria where she bagged an MSc in Physics. Had MSc and PhD Degrees in Physics at the University of Pretoria (South Africa). She is also a member of The South African Institute of Physics and winner of several merit awards.

Her mission was to investigate the effects of fission product bombardment on glassy carbon. She studied the diffusion behavior of nuclear fission products in glassy carbon after heat treatment using Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS).

We know you probably have no idea what you just read. But I'll go straight to telling you the point of the whole study. This study is offering a promising solution to the problem of nuclear waste management especially for long term storage applications.

   Opeyemi

She has a passion you'll surely relate to.
We know quite well that Opeyemi is an intelligent, driven woman. No one bags a PhD in Physics by not being any of these two. We know she's an amazing speaker, because she's been invited to speak in several countries.

But one thing she's really passionate about is ways of generating cleaner and safer electricity. She dreams that perhaps one day, every African will turn of the lights in their homes, and there'll be electricity.
