Financial Scandal and Faction Rocks FASA Executive Council

It is so surprising how one of the most anticipated parties on campus; the Faculty of Arts "D-BANG" freshers' party that was slated to hold on Friday 7th of July was abruptly cancelled.

The information reaching us from some of the executives has it that the party could not hold as scheduled as a result of the fraction, financial scandal and friction amongst the executives.

According to the dialogue our correspondent had with the Assistant General Secretary ,Hon. Toluano, who made it known that there was no preparation for the party.

"The day fixed for the freshers' party is an imaginary day because it cannot hold." He said.

The Faculty's Director of Socials, Oliver da twist, declared that he had submitted his budget for the party to the president since a month ago but which he has not been able to get approval on. A copy of this budget was given to Campus Villa to see as means of evidence that everything is right on his part.
"The money in FASA account is enough to run the party which can even be use to call any top Nigerian artiste to perform at the party like NASS did invite CDQ" Stating further that he has been sidelined from the running of affairs in OBIM'S led administration which is not fair after all the help and assistance he offered to the President which brought him into office.

According to Hon.Toluano "The president has been single-handedly embarking on some projects without the house's approval but refused to ratify the freshers' party organised by the D.O.S  saying FASA has no money"

We were also able to gather that there is division within the central executives of FASA and the reason for this division is yet to be known.
However Our investigation has it that the AGS, Hon.Toluano and the D.O.S  Oliver da Twist have been removed by the PRO Com. Akin from the Faculty's group pages for allegedly adding people who are not students of the Faculty of Arts. However this allegation was refuted by the AGS that they are students from his department.

Sequel to this, every attempt to reach the president of the Faculty, Adegbite Abimbola for his part of the story has proved abortive. Thus it is crystal clear that the "D-BANG" party is still on hold judging by the present look of things among the executives of the Faculty of Arts.
